Q&A Section

Please add your questions or remarks about topics from the agenda here if you can't participate. We will try to answer them in the meeting.

Your Name Question/Comment
bgerber/gerberb Small memory foot print? I would like to have a version of SUSE Linux with a small memory installation. I know there are small memory versions, but I like the whole feel of SUSE Linux and would like a version to run on old systems. Could this be a community effort with some assistance from SUSE Developers? Guides on what to do?

Knoppix like install should be welcome (direct copy to the hard disk, no yast), or install with yast on a predefined partition. are the tools for creating live dvd/cd open? a makeliveSUSEdvd :-) jdd

Rajko M I second interest in small memory footprint SUSE, but to prevent time waste, some introduction in problems that develpers face explained on present installation model, would be apreciated. I'm sure that the effort of volunteeres will help mainstream development too.
Rajko M The Frontpage redesign needs someone on the Novell/SUSE side of the street to supply few Mediawiki skin files that make openSUSE look and feel, as a base for redesign. That will help to move from illustrations to working proposals. It might look trivial to programmers to develop skin, but to me it is not. Tweaking existing code is easier than to develop new.
