Hello,

I have no idea how this wiki-thing works. Therefore I start a discussion here.

About line 21; "Support for SQLite and MySQL databases ensuring fast collection access".

There's no support voor MySQL and PostgreSQL built in the OpenSuSE or SuSE release of Amarok. The version of Guru on the other hand has a support for these databases built in. I suggest that the text will be changed in;

21 Release from SuSE only supports SQLite databases ensuring fast collection access;

And adding point 22;

22 PostGreSQL and MySQL support are available in the release from the Guru repository, see Additional YaST Package Repositories for more information about repositories.

Then 22 will become 23, 23 will become 24 and so on.

Greetings,

I just saw this.... I agree the note should be added, so I did it, but as a subset of 21. --CuCullin 13:35, 12 Dec 2005 (MST)

In order to make MusicBrainz work properly, one should install the MAD and Libtunepim-mad packages from the packman repository.

Backports?

I see that Amarok 1.4 is available on the repos server as a 10.1 backport, but only with the xine backend... When will amarok-helix get backported?

The amarok-helix package has been dropped for legal reasons. --Beineri 07:02, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
