SDB:XDM Hangs During the Boot Process

Symptom:

During the boot process, XDM seems to hang but then continues after a while.

Cause:

The cause is the file /etc/X0.hosts, belonging to xhost, that contains unknown hosts or blank lines. During the boot process, XDM tries to resolve these names and sends a DNS request. Then it waits until an answer is received or until the timeout expires.

Solution:

List only local known hosts in /etc/X0.hosts and do not enter any blank lines. <keyword>xdm,dns,nameserver</keyword>
