SDB:With 9.1, Fritz DSL SL and USB SL Cards Are Not Recognized
Version: 9.1 - 9.1
Symptom
With 9.1, Fritz DSL SL and Fritz DSL USB SL devices are not recognized.
Please note that this article relates to the 32 bit version. There are still no suitable drivers for the 64 bit version, and they can therefore not be run on the 64 bit version.
Cause
The implementation of the hardware recognition was not completed for 9.1.
Solution
Note: As the DSL devices from AVM use the CAPI driver, these devices are set up with the ISDN configuration from YaST.
Manually select the devices from the hardware list. To do this, start
YaST - Network Devices - ISDN, and select Other (not detected)
and click on Configure. A selection list is then displayed. Select your device from the list and follow the instructions.
Additional modification for USB devices
With the USB DSL SL devices, some confusion has been caused by the product IDs.
With root rights, change the ID of file /etc/hotplug/usb/ISDN.usermap: from 0x2700 to 0x3500
and in file /etc/sysconfig/isdn/scripts/hotplug_usb: from "57c/2700") # FRITZDSL!USB to "57c/3500") # FRITZDSL!USB SL
The error can also be corrected with an online update via YOU.
