SDB:Why is software xy not on the CDs

There are two possible explanations for this:

• Either this software is not available for Linux, it does not run stable enough or may even be unknown to us. In the latter case, we ask you to please give us feedback if you think that a specific Unix application should be available under Linux.
• The other reason can be that the corresponding software's manufacturer has forbidden to distribute the software on CD, although it is freely available (e.g. Netscape, Doom...). In this case we cannot do anything.
