You want to install VMware Workstation in SUSE LINUX 9.1/9.2.
First, install the latest version of the VMware package. Updates are available at http://www.vmware.com/download/.
Install the kernel sources in the kernel-source package with YaST2. The kernel sources must match the running kernel. Important: Update the kernel and the kernel sources using the YaST Online Update (YOU).
Configure the kernel sources with the help of the following commands:
cd /usr/src/linux make cloneconfig make prepare
Subsequently, run the VMware configuration script vmware-config.pl. Follow its instructions.
