SDB:Chipcard Reader REINER SCT cyberJack Does Not Work

Şuraya atla: kullan, ara

Version: 9.1

Symptom

You are using a Reiner SCT cyberJack chip card reader (usually in connection with the Moneyplex application). However, this device does not work in SUSE LINUX 9.1.

Cause

As indicated in the README, the driver has not yet (or not fully) been adapted to kernel 2.6.

The manufacturer (Reiner SCT) is aware of the problem. The company has developed a solution that is expected to be included in the Linux kernel from version 2.6.8.

Solution

Until the release of kernel version 2.6.8, cyberJack USB can be used with a kernel patch. This patch is made available by Reiner SCT. To get the patch, contact support@reiner-sct.com.

Please note that SUSE LINUX AG does not provide any support for the deployment of third-party kernels.

An update to kernel 2.6.8 or later releases is not planned for version 9.1 of our distribution. <keyword>cyberjack,moneyplex,chipcard,reader</keyword>
