SDB:Boot: - prompt does not appear during installation
You want to install SuSE Linux from version 6.4 on, but the computer only shows the blue welcome screen, but not the
boot: prompt. This behaviour does not change, if you use CD1, CD2 or the boot disk. The system locks up.
At this time during boot hardware data are gathered by syslinux. Some BIOS versions do not allow this and the system will be halted.
Please keep the shift key pressed during the boot process and it will work ;-)
By pressing the shift key the problematic part of the hardware detection is bypassed and the regular boot sequence is continued. <keyword>Installation,bootup,prompt,have,fun,boot,boot:,bootprompt</keyword>
