This page is for Linux User Groups (LUGs) and others as a reference for holding a SUSE Linux Install Fest. It aggregates links to various content from openSUSE in order to help your user group's SUSE event succeed.

Planning Your Event

Getting SUSE Linux Media

There are a few ways to get media for your event.

1. Download and burn DVD/CD's.
   • While this is pretty easy,, there are other ways to get SUSE Linux media at no cost.
2. Request DVD's from Novell Users International (NUI).
   • Send an email to NUI staff
     • Include your name, phone number, and shipping address. Also include the date for event, and expected attendence.
     • Here's a quick form to copy into your message:

       • Make sure you include international dialing/shipping information.
     • Send your request to:

3. If you have a local Novell office, you can also talk to them about obtaining media.

Sending Out Invites

Here are some ways to boost attendence for your Install Fest event,
