openSUSE 10.2 (Released)

  • YaST printer module hangs up at "Building database of drivers: 4%". Bug #229231
  • Sound does not work on PowerPC Macs. Bug #217300
  • Power Management does not work on PowerPC Macs. Bug #227404
  • Problem with text-mode installation. Bug #226407; work-around: "install in English".
  • Because of loads A Net Installation may have a problem with no root login/password Bug #217425was bug Bug #227988one way to set/recover is using Recover_Root_Password or from recover/set root password.
  • KPowersave crash Bug #225212; workaround: install package from [1] until a YOU update package is available
  • The KDE print dialog can become wider than the screen. Bug #227465, YOU patch released.
  • Setting up PPPOE requires kinternet that is not installed (no error is shown when restarting non-existant kinternet). Solution: use yast2 to add it. Bug #166997
  • If you get a dependency loop or segmentation fault during update from 10.1 to 10.2 in the packager, follow the instructions in comment 35 of bug 229584 Bug #229584
